Michael Dance
Michael Dance is a lawyer and chartered accountant with an extensive track
record in U.K. and international corporate finance. With Lazard Brothers
he acquired experience of working with major companies on takeovers, new
issues and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Later at CCF Laurence
Prust he extended his knowledge of small and medium corporate clients. From
1989 to 1996, Michael Dance worked for Hoare Govett Corporate Finance (later
ABN-AMRO Hoare Govett) rising to become Head of the London Mergers and Acquisitions
team of MeesPierson Corporate Finance. During this period he worked on
a wide range of major transactions while taking on increasing responsibility
for the management of a busy department.
Since 1996, he has continued to work with both corporates and governments
as a financial adviser and consultant, while developing his activities as
a leading trainer in corporate finance.
Michael Dance was educated at the University of Natal and the University
of South Africa and gained his early experience of corporate advisory work
while working in South Africa with Deloitte Haskins Sells and the leading
law firm of Hofmeyr van der Merwe, where he was involved in a number of
major leveraged project finance transactions.
